This is your chance to come ask an expert about the Nios V Soft Processors (/m /g and the new /c variant) for Intel® FPGAs. The Nios V processors are based on the open-source RISC-V architecture and are the next generation of soft processors in the Nios soft processor family. This is an interactive session where you can come and get answers to questions or interact with other like-minded designers who are working on embedded systems development using Nios processors in Intel FPGAs.

Note: The session will be conducted in English. It is part webinar part question-and-answer format and will be recorded. Participation is voluntary, and participants will be informed before recording begins. The recording will be posted to the Intel website for use as training material for the public.

In this session, we will present an overview of the new Nios V processors with emphasis on the Nios V/c compact core processor that was released with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Development Suite Version 23.3. Our experts will cover:

  • Overview of the Nios V/c hardware architecture
  • Comparison to Nios V/m and Nios V/g
  • Comparison to Nios II
  • Migration from Nios II

Meet Your Experts

Jossie Leyva

Jossie Leyva joined the training team at the Intel Guadalajara Design Center in Mexico in 2022. She received an Electrical Engineering bachelor’s degree with Biomedical Engineering focus in 2006 from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara (UAG). She has worked in the healthcare sectors performing technology evaluation as a Biomedical Engineer from 2007 to 2016. She became professor for the electrical engineering department in UAG from 2016 to 2019 and Head of Bachelor’s Degrees in Mechatronics and Biomedical Engineering at UAG until 2022. As part of Intel she has been teaching and developing SoC FPGAs classes, Nios V and other courses along the whole Intel FPGA training team.
