In-line with Intel's strategy and vision of Industry 4.0, the Next Gen Manufacturer Conference 2018 is set to astound and engage business owners from the manufacturing industry.

Designed to assist the Malaysian Electrical & Electronics towards Industry 4.0 adoption, the event will feature a host of helpful and insightful tracks that include a match-making session between eco-system partners and E&E manufacturers, hand-on demonstrations of how to modernise E&E factories, as well as a workshop that helps system integrators and manufacturers understand how to start their Industry 4.0 journey.

YB DATO' SRI MUSTAPA MOHAMED is the Minister at the Ministry of International Trade & Industry (MITI), the key driver in making Malaysia the preferred destination for quality investments and enhancing the nation's rising status as a globally competitive trading nation.

He was named as the Minister of MITI in April 2009 after serving various leadership and ministerial positions in multiple portfolios ranging from finance, entrepreneur development, higher education and agriculture & agro-based industry among others.

At present, Dato' Sri Mustapa is helming MITI with nine agencies namely the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), SME Corporation Malaysia (SMECorp), Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), Small & Medium Enterprise Bank (SME Bank), Malaysia Industrial Development Finance (MIDF), Halal Industry Corporations (HDC), Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI) and Malaysia Steel Institute (MSI).

YBhg. Datin K. Talagavathi serves as the Deputy Secretary General (Industry) in the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). Datin Talaga, as she is fondly known, holds a Master in Economics from the University of Malaya. Having been in the civil service for over 37 years, Datin Talaga has accumulated extensive experience from the various portfolios that she has held. In her current task, she oversees the industrial development policies of Malaysia. Datin Talaga is an avid reader and is always keen in sharing her ideas with her audience.

Dato' Siew Hai (SH) Wong has about 30 years of experience in the electronics industry. His last position with Intel before his retirement was Vice President of Technology and Manufacturing Group (TMG) and General Manager of Assembly and Test Manufacturing (ATM), responsible for all assembly test factories worldwide.

He also served as the Vice President and Managing Director of Dell's Asia Pacific Customer Centre for approximately 2 years. Currently, Dato' Wong is involved in the electronics industry as the Chairman of MAEI (Malaysian American Electronics Industry) and as a Honorary Governor of AMCHAM. He is the Co-Chair with MIDA for the E&E Strategic Council and in May 2017, he was appointed the Chairman of the E&E Productivity Nexus by the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

He is a member of PEMUDAH, a special task force to address public-private delivery services, since 2012. He is a board member of the Penang Science Cluster and he pioneered the set up of Tech Dome Penang, the first science and discovery centre in Penang, to inspire children and students to pursue science and engineering. Currently, he is a coach in the CGP (Cradle Growth Program). He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), under the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and was Chair of its audit committee.

Dr. Ong Sze Wei manages Intel Custom Foundry (ICF) Application and Solutions Engineering (ASE) team in Asia. The team is responsible to provide design solutions, services and engineering support to Intel foundry customers in Asia. Beyond his engineering roles, Dr. Ong also led multiple technical and non-technical work groups in Intel Malaysia, which include Intel Malaysia Design Center (MDC) Technical Training and Development Work Group, Intel MDC Innovation Task Force and Intel Malaysia Technical Steering Council.

In addition to his contributions within Intel, Dr. Ong is also recognized for his leadership and contributions to the local IC design community. He has represented Intel as panel and keynote speakers in multiple seminars and conferences organized by IEEE, universities and government. He is also the past/present industry advisor for USM, UTAR, UNITEN, Monash University and Inti International College.

At the same time possesses strong leadership in driving L3 Sport. Nevertheless, another main criteria an IT specialist should have - problem management skill that he has in driving cross-functional project as team lead to drive RCA and supporting Siebel CRM Analytics/OBIEE.

Atul Hatalkar is a Principal Engineer at Intel’s Internet of Things Group. His work focuses on sensor-rich devices, autonomous systems, and responsive environments.

Atul has led development of many novel technologies and products, including the prototype of Intel’s first self-driving car. During 25+ years of career, Atul has contributed to international standards, presented at technical conferences, and mentored 100s of engineers. Atul holds seven US patents.

Michele Reitz has over 30 years of experience in marketing, sales and engineering roles serving the semiconductor and electronics industry, including expertise in the areas of the Internet of Things, embedded processing, and chip and system design.

In her current role at Intel in the Industrial Solutions Division, she serves as the Product Line Leader for Vision Systems, which encompasses machine vision and learning systems. Prior to Intel, she was a principal analyst Gartner, where she covered IoT processors, FPGAs, Electronic Design Automation, wearables and deep learning semiconductors.

The focus is to leverage new technologies, such as IoT, Cognitive, Analytics and Blockchain etc. to improve and transform their various operations.

He has more than 31 years of experience working with many clients across the Industrial Sector in Asia Pacific on various solutions to transform their businesses. Jeremy has a BSc (Eng) Hons in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University College London (UCL), MSc in Information Engineering from The City University, London and MBA from the University of Hull, UK.

Mohd Razali Hussain has been the Director General of Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) since 2009. He represented MPC in numerous working and research committees, presented papers at international and national forums, and deputed as a technical expert on systems development in the areas of productivity, quality, competitiveness, innovation and good regulatory practice.

Mohd Razali also serves as the alternate director for Malaysia in the Governing Body of the Asian Productivity Organization. He has a Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Ohio University, USA.
